November 2011: VW Automobile spot directed by Walid Azami around the MLS Cup Game. July 2011: What else? A new Eva Pigford Marcille photo shoot for Eva's new reality show on Oxygen. July 2011: The Royal Couple's portrait unveiling took place last week at the David Streets Gallery. Walid's photos were seen on the wall of the gallery next to the Royal Couple's portrait. The show is coming down this week. Thank you all for coming to the opening. June 2011: Walid's photographs are hanging all month at the famed David W Streets Gallery in Beverly Hills, CA. May 2011: We The Urban Magazine's June issue came out with a 4 page Eva Pigford story photographed by Walid. May 2011: The K Michelle video is ready and looks beautiful. April 2011: The first of several Hot Chelle Rae photos came out today, and seen in US Magazine and more. April 2011: Recieved the most amazing compliment from the all-important ArtForum Magazine: "I love Jess [Black's] color sensibility. I think I would like to own a piece of his work. Walid [Azami's] photography is amazing. There is something beautifully painful about it. They're collaborating? It will be a first for me and something I did not think would come so early. March 2011: Promo shoot for Travis Porter, expect to see those all over very soon. February 2011: Usher and Belvedere Vodka teamed up to fight HIV/AIDS. The image for the campaign is from the Walid photo shoot also used to promote the Remy Martin Ad and world tour poster. February 2011: Just shot an amazing spread for Eva Marchille (Pigford) January 2011: Simon Fuller, Perez Hilton, and Jamie King have been busy on their newest creation. Walid photographed the first images for the campaign. January 2011: Brand new website. Many images coming up including tear sheets, film, and more. December 2010: Walid's photography is featured in Usher's OMG World Tour Book, as well as on marquees across the globe. December 2010: Walid photographed a PETA ad, that will go national at the start of the new year. December 2010: GQ has a full page image of Walid's photo taken of Usher from earlier this year. December 2010: German Magazine will print a photograph taken of Darcy Turenne (top mtn biker in the world) December 2010: Walid concluded the year with a great photoshoot for a really BIG project!! December 2010: During December Walid's after school program in conjunction with the YMCA of Anaheim started at 3 high schools. Look forward to blogs about the kids progress from each school. November 2010: Usher's OMG Tour starts this month. The poster for the tour is from my photography.November 2010: I started, along with the Anaheim Achieves (YMCA) a program at 3 different high schools to bring arts back into the schools. I am teaching them photography, filming, editing, lighting, and so much else. I have been so lucky and blessed, and the first place that I wanted to give back to was my old 'hood and that's wehre I went. I am at Magnoliia High School (my alumni), Loara High School, and Western High School. October 2010: More LA Ink images printed in magazines. Usher decided to use Walid's photography as the face of his world tour. Documentary about LA's gang scene in progress. September 2010: Walid directs an exclusive documentary video in the heart of LA's gang problem about a school sandwiched by 3 rival gangs. September 2010: Walid's photography of Usher ended up as a half page in PEOPLE Magazine. It also appeared in a 3 page exclusive in SUCCESS Magazine. September 2010: LA INK is playing and from the number of website hits, you guys love Ruthless. Walid photographed all her promotional images shown in magazines nationwide. August 2010: Usher releases VERSUS and re-releases RAYMOND V RAYMOND DELUXE and both albums contain all photography by Walid Azami July 2010: Coming soon, some David Archuleta. May 2010: Just had 2 images printed inside Mountain Bike Magazine of the top Mtn Biker in the world, Darcy Turene. That is in the July issue. April 2010: Usher on the cover of 944 Magazine in Atlanta and as a spread else where! This is my first cover and the image of the spread is my favorite of him that I have taken. April 2010: New picture of Nicki Minaj is up in the "Celebrity" Gallery. April 2010: The very cool, very sexy Ciara shot her first music video off the soon-to-arrive album. Walid Azami photographed her first promotional image off the project, which is her Single Cover. Check out Ciara's new cover on main page and under the "Celebrity" album. April 2010: Usher performs his #1 album on various TV shows. His images on stage were from the Walid Azami photo shoot and can be seen on his Good Morning America performance. We did promotional images that you will see in the near future. The first was published for PEOPLE Magazine. March 2010: A full month of great shoots, including Usher for the new project. We photographed Darcy in Brea, CA and had a mountain bike theme with a twist. Darcy is currently on the cover of Bike Magazine and featured in Rolling Stone Magazine earlier this year. September 2009: Nineteen76 did the soon-to-be released promo spots for Americhip, including photography, directing, and branding via online medium. Americhip created the world's first ever video-in-a-magazine ad, to premier this month in Entertainment Weekly Magazine. August 2009: Walid photographed the new Everyday Minerals Cosmetics campaign for Fall 2009.August 2009: Usher (New Project) July 2009: The Flower DIYvas DVD we directed/produced just came out. You can read an article about it on CNN.com and am very proud of their accomplishments so far! June 2009: Ciara has her own dance and modeling agency called UDT in Atlanta and Los Angeles. We filmed a series of new media ads promoting the website, Ciara's involvement, and you can see her Jerking with the dancers. May 2009: Photographed the Everyday Minerals Cosmetics campaign for their summer line. Directed and produced How-to video series for Flower DIYvas. DVD should be available at online merchants and many stores around the country early summer 2009. April 2009: Everyday Minerals Cosmetic Company asked Walid Azami to photograph the Summer collection! Became an uncle x2 on April 30th! March 2009: Walid photographed an amazing new artist, Kevin Cossom. KC is on Danja's album N.A.R.S. and WILL be one of the hottest stars very soon. Keep your eyes and ears open for him. His sounds can already be heard on Kanye, Keri Hilson, and Neyo's new song. March 2009: Walid Azami was just featured on Model.com's website and they did a spotlight of his photography. Every few weeks they select 2 models and 1 professional (make-up artist, stylist, photographer, hair-stylist) each round. This time will feature the works of 2 great models and Walid's photography. You can read it here. March 2009: The spring 2009 campaign for cosmetics company, Everyday Minerals is on their newly designed website. We filmed in beautiful Laguna Beach, CA. on a perfectly 85 degree January day! February 2009: On Bravo's MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL, you can see Walid Azami as the official photographer for the show's second season, casting special. Check listings, but the special will air through out the month of February. February 2009: In early February Walid will photograph the new campaign for Everyday Minerals. January 2009: Just found out a picture I shot of Fannius III was published recently in IN LA MAGAZINE. It has a portion of the front cover and a half page inside. Walid's photography joins those of other greats such as Richard Avedon, Greg Gorman, David LaChappelle, and many many others. November, 2008: Walid will direct a special DVD for one of the hottest R&B/Dance starsin the world. Details soon! October, 2008: Walid was featured on BRAVO TV's upcoming season of "Make Me a Supermodel" as the featured photographer and a name coming up in fashion and music. October, 2008: Soon one of the hottest names in music will be Rich Girl as tthey get ready to release their first single, "24". We completed the webisodes for the girl group and did exclusive photography. September, 2008: Walid photographed the fall/winter line of Every Day Minerals Cosmetics. EDM is a leading authority in Mineral make-up and all their products are organic and vegan based. August, 2008: We worked with nutritional giant, Herbalife on their athlete profiles and worked with R&B great BRANDY on her new music video. June/July 2008: We produced and directed all the webisodes for superstar Usher's website which air on his website, youtube, and label's page. November, 2007: Usher performs "Singin' in the Rain" at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. His amazing performance was only captured by Walid inside his green room and on stage! |
