| Walid Azami is a celebrity and fashion photographer based out of Los Angeles, California. With a very unique stylistic approach to photography, Walid has made a name for himself by working with many of today’s pop and cultural icons. His career started by working for Madonna on her Reinvention World Tour. His next move was with R&B superstar, Usher, where he acted as the exclusive photographer. Walid photographed Usher’s “Raymond vs. Raymond Deluxe” album cover, the “Versus” album cover, “DJ Got Us Falling in Love” record cover, “OMG World Tour” poster and tour book. Walid also photographed the promotional campaign work for “Raymond vs. Raymond”, "Remy Martin liquor" campaign which showcased Usher as their spokesperson, and numerous documentary & photojournalistic work for Usher’s tours, philanthropic missions and projects which include the Milk Campaign and special UK remix album cover. Through the use of motion and still photography Walid captured many personal and pivotal career chapters for Usher throughout the years. Ciara was next on the list and Walid photographed the premier single off of the “Basic Instinct” album and the 2nd single for Ciara’s “Ride Remix ft Andre 3000,” as well as many other promotional images. Walid's work was published on magazine covers & spreads such as promo images for one of LA Inks newest stars, Ruthless as well as R&B diva K Michelle and Professional Mountain Biker, Darcy Turenne. The list continues on with more famous subjects that have been in front of Walid’s lens. These include: Kanye West, David Archuleta, Nicki Minaj, Bei Maejor, Eva Pigford, Kevin Cossom, Travis Porter and Frenchie Davis. Walid worked closely with the new simon fuller (Spice Girls, American Idol), Jamie King, and Perez Hilton project by capturing the first images of their newest project. Beyond photographs, his work includes eye-catching fashion films, documentary work, music videos, and film projects for Ceelo, Usher, Ciara, Brandy, Apocalyptica, RichGirl, Madonna, Hasselbald, and more. He was featured in Bravo’s hit show, “Make Me a Supermodel” as guest celebrity photographer and commisioned to photograph the Everyday Minerals Cosmetics campaign (4 seasons). In additiona Walid's work has appeared in magazines such as: GQ, 944, Success, Paper, XXL, People, Inked, Mountain Bike magazine,Innov8 magazine and many more domestic and international magazines. His work has also been featured in TV shows such as: VH1’s Behind the Music, Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight. Along with cutting edge fashion shoots, Walid is now a music video director. His current video for K Michelle continues to recieve great reviews and there are several other videos on Walid's plate. Along with music videos, Walid is now an accomplished fine artist as he showcased his first gallery opening in Beverly Hills, CA for the month of June. In recent months Walid has directed documentary spots and done exclusive photography for Volkswagen Motors centering around VW's enormous contribution to life and culture (Superbowl, MLS Soccer, MOMA, and more...). Only hitting the tip of the iceberg, Walid has a very bright future ahead of him and only more success to come. |
